Think on These
Funny how sometime it's the mundane or one-off memories that stick with us. One I remember is going out to eat with a high school girlfriend. I can still see her and the restaurant, but recall just a snippet of the conversation, apparently the most memorable part. In reply to something I said, she responded,
"Oh no, are we going to talk about life again?!"
(Yep, that was me, the dream date!) For as long as I remember I've leaned toward contemplation and reflection, certainly more of an introvert than an extrovert. In that spirit, I'm drawn to questions and words that leave breadcrumbs down a path of self-discovery and introspection. Like so many things in our busy lives, it's easy to breeze by these opportunities to get to know ourselves better.
